Panzerchrist was formed in 1993 by Michael Enevoldsen (ex Illdisposed) in Aarhus, Denmark, and has released a total of 10 albums and various Ep’s and singles.
The band is hailed as the fastest and most brutal blackened death metal band, to ever come out of Denmark.
Several line up changes has had its influence on the band, on both studio albums and live performances.
It’s with certainty that the albums Soul Collector (2000), Room Service (2003) and Battalion Beast (2006) has been the most popular by fans in and out of Europe. All three albums is known for their sheer brutality and no bullshit war attitude.
All three albums were fronted by danish metal veteran Bo Summer, who formed danish heavy metal act Illdisposed in 1991.
As fate would have it Bo never got to perform live with Panzerchrist, due to his work with Illdisposed.
That fate is about to change!
In a conversation at the funeral of mutual friend and former axeman Rasmus Henriksen, Michael and Bo agreed to restart Panzerchrist, with a focus on becoming a live act fronted by Bo and reliving the bands golden age, with live performances of the albums he did his vocals on.
Panzerchrist is now very much a liveact to behold, as well as they’re producing new music!
The line up consists of pure war veterans, who has earned their honors in service of Panzerchrist. Guitarist Frederik O’Carroll were also to find on the albums Room Service and Battalion Beast as well as several more albums. Rasmus Normand played guitar on the album Outpost – Fort Europa, and drummer Ove Lungskov has been the battery of the newest Panzer albums.
